Book excerpt: Sticky loves to go out with his pals and explore new places. There are so many things to see and new experiences to have! Sticky rides a bike through a park, and doesn’t give in to being afraid when he falls off. He goes to a party in the park, and rides along on a firetruck as they go to fight a fire. Soon Sticky is ready for bigger adventures. He explores neighborhoods as close as his own backyard in New York City and as far as Memphis, Tennessee, and Dallas, Texas. He eats a King Cake during Mardi Gras, and learns to ride a horse at the rodeo. During his travels, Sticky and his pals visit landmarks and spend time educating themselves about local history and traditions. With a passion for travel and a list of new adventures, Sticky's only question is, "Where to next?" In Sticky's Adventures, kids learn about the joys of travel and adventure as they follow Sticky on each of his new experiences. It’s easy to see that childhood is full of new things, but Sticky reminds us that the adventure is never over. There are always more places to see and more things to learn when we travel.
