Book excerpt: Methyl parathion in low-volume (LV) spray was more effective than malathion against larvae of tobacco budworm and bollworm in the laboratory. In topical applications, malathion and methyl parathion were more toxic than malaoxon and methyl paraoxon to the tobacco budworm and the bollworm. Topical applications of malathion, malaoxon, methyl parathion, and methyl paraoxon killed greater percentages of larvae of the bollworm than of the tobacco budworm.
